Tailored Auctions: Your Token, made to measure

Umia introduces Tailored Auctions using Uniswap Continuous Clearing Auctions (CCAs) for fairer, onchain token launches with gradual price discovery, automatic liquidity bootstrapping, and ZK-proof gated community access

Let's face it: Token Launches are broken. The landscape has forced founders into setups that have doomed great project ideas just from their TGE.

From the moment the token goes live, the battle for a successful launch is uphill: Snipers, bots and MEV attacks all contribute to a skewed and extractive distribution of tokens. Even without these issues, having a free-for-all token sale can end up excluding your core community and those who believe in you long-term.

We want to make sure that all tokens crowdfunding on Umia have the best possible launch conditions for price discovery and community onboarding, which is why we propose a new way to launch tokens: Tailored Auctions.

Liquidity and Fair Discovery through CCAs

Previous token setups tend to run into the same issues: they are prone to sniping, aggressive price discovery and low liquidity post-launch. This is why we have decided to build on top of Uniswap's Continuous Clearing Auction (CCA) mechanism.

Thanks to leveraging Uniswap CCAs, Umia's launches all carry some strong properties:

  1. Onchain Execution: The entire auction runs onchain. Fully transparent, and accessible to all.
  2. Gradual Price Discovery: Token supply is distributed over time through continuous clearing buckets, each with a clearing price set once participants have bid. This incentivizes early bidding to guarantee best prices, reduces sniping, limits volatility, and helps the market converge toward a fair value over the auction window. All while still giving late participants a fair chance to participate.
  3. Automatic Liquidity Bootstrapping: Once the auction is done, part of it automatically seeds a Uniswap v4 pool, fully owned by the treasury. Keep your token liquid from day one.

Compared to other mechanisms (bonding curves, Dutch auctions, etc.), these three properties help have better average prices overall. Not only do late participants still get fair market value, but early participants are guaranteed the lowest prices, with everyone in the same block getting the same clearing prices.

Launch With Your Community, Preserve their Privacy

What makes someone more likely to hold a token long-term? It's their belief in the project, either from using it or conviction in the ecosystem it is targeting. This is a fundamental aspect that most token launchpads miss by making it free-for-all.

Umia wants to make sure the right people show up to your auction, and stay for the ride.

Through the Umia browser extension, founders can set conditions on who gets in. Active Claude users that are tokenmaxxing. Users with a top rank on a competitive game. Users who've built real reputation somewhere you actually care about. Any signal worth checking can become an entry condition.

None of this requires participants to link their identity to their wallet. Zero-knowledge proofs let the extension confirm someone qualifies without revealing who they are. You pick the rule, the extension verifies it with zero-knowledge, the wallet stays anonymous.

Once a user has been whitelisted, the CCA mechanism allows for an exclusive community-only bucket that is gated by our extension. This means you can reward your most loyal community members, and ensure they get onboarded.

For Any Stage, Not Just Day One

Most token launch tools assume you're starting from zero. Either you are starting from zero, or it's too late. If that's not where you are, they don't have much to offer.

Tailored Auctions work regardless of where you're starting from. First raise, follow-on, or migrating from a structure you've outgrown: the setup fits around you. If you're coming from an existing token, the Curated Track team handles the conversion and makes sure existing stakeholders don't get left out.

You don't have to have started on Umia for it to make sense to finish here.

Most raises are designed around the platform, not the project. Tailored Auctions flip that: price discovery that reflects real demand, liquidity the moment the auction closes, and a community that bought in because they actually wanted to.
